The Feather & Blade Story
Greetings! My name is Shannon and I'm excited to share my passion for innovative design & artisan wares through the Feather and Blade online market. The journey began after opening Frida in 2006, a brick and mortar gallery & clothier in the Georgetown industrial arts neighborhood of Seattle Washington.
As an artist, collector & curator, this venue allowed me to work with over 60 artists and designers in the Pacific Northwest while infusing my personal love of folk art, natural history & story-telling. Inspired by my hometown Austin Texas, Frida relocated to a beloved 24' vintage trailer in 2010. The Frida Gallery currently serves as host to art openings, trunk shows, photo shoots, special events and subject to features in Sunset Magazine, Seattle Magazine, style blogs, amongst others.
Inspired by visionary artisans and their work, we launched Feather & Blade online market for the modern hunter gatherer in 2012. Our carefully selected collections include Prairie Underground sustainable organic clothing, Chemical Wedding hand-crafted leather goods, Jewels Curnow original art jewelry and iconic western shirts from Rockmount Ranch Wear, with additional collections making their way to Feather and Blade in 2013!
